Petra van der Kooij
Petra van der Kooij is a PhD candidate in the Fair Limits Project. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences (University of Amsterdam) and she obtained her Master’s degree in Human Ecology at Lund University, Sweden. She is interested in the relation between social justice and ecological sustainability, both in theory and in practice.
In her sub-project the focus lies on thinking about what limits justice imposes on how many ecosystem resources we can use. To address this question it is important to look at debates about global as well as intergenerational justice. She also intends to explore what it means to live a flourishing life in a just and sustainable society. The aim of this subproject is to analyse the idea of limitarian principles in the domain of ecological resources.
